Drum Tuning and Recording master class with Ryan Forrest

Audio Engineering students attended what is now a twice yearly fixture at SAE Liverpool. Masterclass workshops with Ryan Forrest on Drums, Drum tuning and recording techniques.
Starting the day learning about the instrument, Students had the opportunity to hear the variations in sound possible though different drum types, tunings and kit combinations, as well as learning drum tuning techniques. The afternoon consisted of recording techniques to a variety of musical genres.
Ryan has been playing professionally since he was fourteen which has led him to play with amongst others internationally renowned artist Finley Quaye, home-grown artist Lewis Taylor and foreign stars Spooks and Marco Quelhas. He has performed at all the major UK and European festivals and UK venues and appeared on TV shows such as MTV, Top of The Pops, Jools Holland, CDUK, Pepsi Chart Show, The Priory and Canal + to name a few.
